Recent Work

Reducing Environmental Impact

of Synthetic Turf

With so many communities looking for ways to increase access to outdoor recreation, Oak Creek Engineering has endeavored to leverage our years of experience in athletic field design, construction and programming/administration to provide support for policy makers, administrators and designers, so there is a better understanding of how to approach the use of synthetic turf in public spaces and address the environmental concerns of community members.

microplastics and PFAS

One of the recent hurdles that new synthetic turf athletic field developments have seen in recent years is community opposition to these projects due to the introduction of microplastic pollution and possible PFAS contamination. In this paper, we recommend solutions to these problems that are manageable and protect the environment around us.

Let's put down some roots.
